As an intro to the Fall ASF party I will be running something we did last year around this time- a level 50 gear or lower Rift Run. This means that only level 50 or lower gear may be used and no legendary items can be used either.
This can be daunting for some to obtain old school gear, so I will be listing a couple good ways to get this gear.
-Barter from the skirmish camp
I know the gear isn't the most fantastic, but it's a good start and a good way to fill in pieces you still need
-Craft
The crafted gear is some of the best around at levels 45-50. I am sure you can ask any of the officers (I'm a tailor) or kinnies who have crafters and they would gladly help you out.
-Solo the old content to get barter coins or Gear
The old lvl 50 stuff is so old at this point that anyone can solo it with ease. Some good ideas here is to run The Rift with your fully decked out toons and get barter tokens and gear that you can exchange for the top notch Rift armour. I will be at the Rift camp prior to the raid so I can summon people to barter for gear if needed. JUST REMEMBER: Do NOT run the rift a week prior to the raid and get locks. Be careful about locks. A good idea would be to solo it with a toon you will not be bringing on the raid; the barterable items are account shared which means all your characters will be able to barter for the gear.
Other good instances to run for stuff are BG in Angmar, Annuminas instances (lvl 50), Carn Dum, and Urugarth. All of these are very soloable.
One final note, the time of the raid may change up or down an hour after I hear back from people. So please let me know on this thread what time is best on November 7th.
