Just posting a few notes to keep everyone up to date on what's happening in ASF.


Officer Update

Over time we've been having a little attrition in the officer ranks, so the officers met last week to update the various roles. The results are listed here, but you can also find them in the Kinship Charter.

  • Master of Raids: Elaelin
    
  • Lieutenant of Raids: Georgion
    
  • The Master and Lieutenant of Raids are responsible for organizing and scheduling raids in Rapid Raid, so let them know if there's anything you've been wanting to run.
  
  
• Scribe
  
  
  • Master Scribe: Rainbowdoddle
    
  • Lieutenant Scribe: Smellything
    
  • The Master and Lieutenant Scribes take minutes in the officer meetings. They also enforce our kinship rule of kicking characters that haven't been logged in for more than 90 days, so be sure to log your alts every couple of months!
  
  
• Kin Relations

  • Lieutenant of Kin Relations: Shivlog
    
  • The Master and Lieutenant of Kin Relations are your officer liaisons. They also organize kinship events like the ASF Fall Party (see below).

  • The Master and Lieutenant Curators maintain the kinship bank characters. If you need items for your level 50 class quests, or legendary items, or rep items, or anything else you think someone might have donated, contact one of them with a request. Conversely, if you'd like to donate rare items (teal items generally, but also things like food, hope tokens, scrolls, etc.), mail them to ASFBank, ASFLegendary, or ASFParty.

  • The Master and Lieutenant of Information maintain the ASF web site. If you're having trouble on the web site, contact one of them there or in game.

Helm's Deep!

All nine class dev diaries have been posted on the main LotRO site, and links to those pages and related content are available through the Helm's Deep Links thread in our forums here. Feel free to reply to that thread with links to any other related information you see on other web sites.

We usually have a couple of members who volunteer to give an overview of the coming changes, once the beta NDA has been lifted, so keep an eye out for a kinship meeting as the launch date approaches.




ASF Fall Party 2013!

If you haven't already read it, the Fall Party 2013 thread contains a few updates on our fall party, which is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of October 19th and 20th. The two types of suggestions we're always looking for are:

• Events: This means both suggestions for new events, or opinions on proposed ones. We never have time to do everything that gets suggested, so we naturally prefer the ones that more people show an interest in.
  
• Prizes: The prizes for the contest-like events during the party are donated by your kin-mates. Your fellow members are consistently generous, so our cup generally runneth over: you probably won't see a full set of Horse-Lords armour, but there are usually a couple of very nice items, along with some useful stuff like food/tokens/scrolls/crafting mats, and some more obscure items like musical mentoring scrolls for minstrels, or pet talismans for lore-masters. Send donations to ASFParty, and reply to the Fall Party 2013 thread with any suggestions/requests.
