This came out recently:

http://www.lotro.com/gameinfo/devdiaries/1388-rise-of-isengard-minstrel-developer-diary-

This is going to take a long time for me to re-learn I'm thinking. This is the biggest dev diary I have seen in a long time. But it looks to be very cool, and should making playing a mini quite a bit more versatile, and effective in some ways.

*sighs* I WAS excited for the expansion, sadly now I'm dreading it.

I am not dreading any of the changes. ( that may or may not be un-true.)
I feel that it is good to change up classes every now and again. It helps to keep playing the class interesting, and also keeps players on their toes, always looking to change their rotation just a bit, to find maximum efficiency in any situation. By adding or changing different ideas and traits to classes, I think that it adds more depth, and versatility. Which I like about the lotro classes; we're not relegated to one single role because our class is so focused.

ok.... I'm not big on some of these changes as it will make my baby mini harder to play. I'll have to snag him some better light armor as I am currently sitting with him using medium. When fimbrithil and I duo, this is going to be a major dynamic change. The buffs heavy thing gives me a bit of concern as I'm going to have real trouble remembering the rotation. But I will relearn and so I'm not terribly concerned. If I was higher level, I might be more concerned, but at lvl 39 I'm still only a little past half way, so not as bad.

1. War-speech with no healing nerf except its use on others? Your ideas intrigue me, and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter!
2. It seems like the new abilities for the Cowbell make it (rightly) supreme among instruments. They'd better make them craftable now!

Looking at the last page of the dev diary,

http://www.lotro.com/gameinfo/devdiaries/1388-rise-of-isengard-minstrel-developer-diary-?start=6

it looks to me like the cowbell will be the most useful of the instruments.

I mean, obviously. It's a bell.

From a COW.

Right?

it seems to definitely get a broader range of goodies than the other instruments, but we need percentages. if it's like 2% for each modifier and the others that get only one or two things give them at 10% or more, then it's a toss up. MORE COWBELL!!!!!
